Week 11 Devlog - Patryk


This week I started finishing up the boss to make it playable for the playtest, which we had and I think it went great, more on that later. I added all of the systems to make the boss functional, like starting the fight and making it auto choose attacks, the boss now falls after an attack from being "tired" and eventually goes back up. I added a whole phase 2 system aswell that changes some of the stats (all changeable in the Inspector), and also adds the phase 2 attacks into the move pool, so the boss gets 3 attacks at the start, and unlocks 2 more on phase 2. We added a lot of the art to the game aswell, so it looks more like a game and less of a prototype. The playtest went well, people seemed to really enjoy the boss aspect, the level not so much so that will have to be changed. We got some useful feedback about the boss difficulty and balancing, so I think the boss is pretty balanced right now, might add a heal mechanic or something because that seems like a major issue people are having.
